Oct 13 Ancient Thera

October 13

         Today I went on a run with one of the scuba instructors down the street. We ran along the ocean and talked about his life on the island. It was a great run and near the end we ran into Nadine.

         After breakfast and church we drove to The Prehistoric City of Akrotiri on Thera. This is an ancient civilization that is up to 7,000 years old. Because artifacts were taken out of the site and given to museums, most of the museum was structures of rubble. Nonetheless it was a great experience.

         After lunch and a quick stop at the bakery we headed back to the hotel where I ran some errands and have been catching up on artwork. Tonight I think we are going out for Mexican food! WOO!
