Adventure day with Minolis

October 5
It was another day of bundling up, but today was adventure day with Minolis. After driving about 45 minutes we met up with our tour guide for the day, Minolis, who took us about an hour through the mountains driving. Then we parked and hiked up the mountain into a cave which contained a church and bones from a grave which were in a box. After exploring more, we found more bones laying around. It turns out they were human bones, but Minolis thinks that they were from another grave area. After eating a snack we headed up higher to another church in a cave. This cave was so awesome because it would get really small and then open up to another cave. At one time we had to crawl on our hands and knees to get to another big opening. While here we explored and took some awesome photos. I even pet a bat! After our caving adventures we hiked around a shipyard and along the ocean. I loved exploring the shoreline even though the rocks were extremely jagged.
After walking and watching some men chop wood for boats we went to eat at this little restaurant in the village which is also a post office and grocery store. We had so much food! And after eating all of this we walked it off during sunset and explored a few more churches down the mountain. And to top it all off, the drive back was absolutely hilarious. We were laughing at our jokes nonstop for about an hour. Dan’s cheeks even began to hurt; he had laughed so much. What an excellent day.
